Chrissy Aldridge (PG Dip RN)
Director & Cosmetic Nurse Injector, Splendor X Laser Specialist
Chrissy is the Director of Skindeep Clinic with a team of nurses and beauty therapists that provide a unique beauty clinic experience. Chrissy is a registered nurse with over thirty years of experience in the health and beauty industry. She is passionate about keeping abreast of developments within the industry providing superior treatments using “gold standard” medical devices.
“We were the first clinic in the country to purchase and use Splendor X blend technology laser for permanent hair reduction delivering incredible results”.
Chrissy loves working with people and the environment at Skindeep Clinic is based on real whanau (family). She enjoys seeing her team flourish and gain confidence to provide a full complement of skin, soul and body services to clients. Skindeep Clinic is the only nurse-led clinic in Tairawhiti specialising in advanced skincare treatments.
She feels great satisfaction seeing her clients grow in confidence whether it is from appearance medicine, laser hair reduction or Beauty therapy.
She is married to Michael, and together they have two children Oliver and Abby. Chrissy is an Accredited Practitioner of the Clinical Aesthetic Network of New Zealand (CANNZ). CANNZ represents NZ’s clinical aesthetic professionals creating high standards of care, ensuring amazing client outcomes and patient safety. She is also a member of Business Networking International-First Light (BNI) which supports Hospice. She believes in giving back to her community. Since May 2021 Skindeep Clinic has donated $50 weekly to the General Fund of The Sunrise Foundation. “We know the proceeds will be granted to local charities that need help each year through the Foundation’s annual funding round.”
Niki Atwood (PG Dip RN)
Cosmetic Nurse Injector & Splendor X Laser Specialist
As previous work colleagues, Niki is excited to join Chrissy and her team at Skindeep Clinic. She is very passionate about the health and wellbeing of people and is looking forward to expanding her skills and knowledge within the clinic.
With 20 years of nursing experience within the Operating Theatres between both the public and private sectors, Niki feels privileged to work alongside Chrissy and her team to help continue to grow client's confidence within themselves.
Niki is married to Daniel (aka Flannel) and together they have two children, Liam, and Ruby along with two dogs and two cats. Niki enjoys spending her time with family, friends, and her animals. Niki loves going to music concerts and enjoys watching the Warriors with her league mad whanau. You will often see Niki walking around Mitre 10 with coffee in hand or down at the Netball courts helping or watching her daughter Ruby.
Sam Spooner
Beauty Therapist & Splendor X Laser Specialist
With over 12 years experience in the Beauty Therapy industry, Sam is passionate about helping clients with their skin concerns, giving the ultimate relaxation facial or enhancing your natural features with brow and lash treatments. She loves working with a great team, where growing knowledge through continuous training is refreshing. “I take great pride in delivering high results to my clients”
Sam is a trained laser specialist and loves the Splendor X machine and the results it delivers.
In Sam’s downtime you will find her with her three children, growing veggies, camping or relaxing with a G&T.
Cassie Harrison
Beauty Therapist, IPL rejuvenation Specialist
Cassie is a Senior Skin Therapist at Skindeep Clinic who has recently moved to Gisborne from Mt Maunganui.
Cassie is passionate about skincare and wellbeing.
She has four years of experience in the beauty industry, working specifically with difficult skin conditions such as hormonal acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, and pigmentation.
Cassie has a long history of battling eczema and acne as a child and teenager. Therefore, she is extremely passionate about helping others maintain and heal such conditions. Growing up with a holistic influence, Cassie likes to work with an ‘inside out’ approach, treating the root cause of the skin condition. Combining this with the correct topical skincare regime, she is passionate about getting her clients long-term results. We are so fortunate to have her join our expert team with her extensive knowledge of these skin conditions.
Outside of work, Cassie loves spending time with family, and friends and enjoys going for walks along the beach with a coffee in hand.
Cathy Aberahama
Front of House
Cathy is the front of house Administrator at Skindeep Clinic and came to the role after receiving a clinic treatment and loves it.
She enjoys watching the transformation of clients and how they grow in confidence after treatment. Their skin is glowing, wrinkles are reduced, or they no longer have an embarrassing hair problem. Integral to the growth of Skindeep is their ability to try new products and use the latest equipment.
Cathy has always worked in administration/front of house roles. Married for 32 years to Sam with three adult children and four grandchildren. She loves to travel and has visited many countries over the past 35 years. Her interests include cooking, knitting and reading. Cathy was proud to have won PA of the year for REMAX Real Estate at a regional award ceremony in 2008.
Skindeep is a lovely environment to work in, and she looks forward to welcoming clients and staff to the clinic.
Michelle Knight
Front of House
Skindeep Clinic is fortunate to have Michelle Knight as its other front of house Administrator. Michelle came to the role on the recommendation of a current client and is a great fit for the team.
Michelle was born and raised in Australia until her early twenties and has a medical and financial/administration background. She moved to NZ in 2005, lived in Christchurch, Napier and Gisborne and has three beautiful children.
Her passions are spending time with family and friends along with dancing. The clinic environment is one that Michelle is comfortable working in, and she looks forward to providing a welcoming atmosphere for clients.
Beauty treatments that she is interested in are those that address skin issues such as rosacea and pigmentation, as she has experienced these herself.
